We decided to add this blog for two main reasons...
The first reason being – animal rescue. Our beneficiaries are a bunch of phenomenal ladies, and they all deal daily with challenges in animal rescue. This initiative, Save a Coin, Safe a Life in its own right was born from the very foundation of animal rescue work. It started by us feeding a small feral colony and the challenge of raising funds to get them spay and neutered. Sharing the ups and downs these ladies experience from time to time.
Our second reason being – the second hand items donated once meant something to someone. It carried some sort of memory, regardless good or bad. As in animal rescue, the same principal applies dealing with second hand items. Sometimes a smell or sound of a specific item will trigger a memory. Memories that had a meaning at a specific time, period or season in our life. Memories capturing a life lessons. Memories of those we love and lost. Memories of tears and laughter. Memories of hardship, faith and miracles. Memories we want to treasure and revisit when we down and out.
Above all, memories that reminds us never to give up, but to keep pushing forward!
